Feature and Follow Friday #4

The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee and Alison of Alison Can Read.

Q: We are about to see lots of posts and tweets about reader conventions. RT, BEA, ALA and many more are starting soon. Which one would you love to attend? Where and why?

If I lived in the US, I'd go to all of them. Sadly, that's not possible...(why are plane tickets so expensive?!). Maybe I'll go to one in the future - could someone hide me in their suitcase?

  1. I don't think I would ever go if I had to fly there and pay hotels etc. But I'm lucky that BEA in NYC is withing an hour's drive - just have to pay for parking.

  3. I'm asking the same question, why are the plane ticket so freaking expensive :D They should have something like black Friday for plane tickets too, so even people from Europe can stack on them lol :D
Anyway, your blog is really really cute :) New follower ;)

  6. Thanks for visiting my blog :). This makes my complaint seem very insignificant. It's a million times more difficult for you, since all these conventions are in a whole other country, while for me, its just in a different state. And England is not boring! (or so I've heard) I am so jealous of the accents!

  8. Haha, I live in the USA, and I still haven't gone to any major ones. It's so hard when distance and transportation is a problem. But it's even worse for you out-of-the-USA people! I'm sorry :\

  9. I feel you! Why do tickets have to be so expensive to fly overseas?! It stinks! I live in the US and I would love to attend one of those conventions myself. Maybe someday I'll get the opportunity.

  10. I know how I feels! I wish there were more festivals to go to in the U.K. Despite all of my personal favourite authors only touring in the U.S. :( - they're are still some great events in the U.K. Have you ever been to the Hay Festival? I'm going this year and am so excited. Authors like Sophie Mckenzie, Michael Morpurgo and Sophia Bennett are there. It's on the outskirts of Wales.

  11. I would LOVE to go to America someday! :'( I wish plane tickets were less expensive. I have only been to one author event (in London) but it was amazing. I really should go to more :P

I hope you get to go to one soon, America!
