I'm So Not a Pop Star is the second installment in the Pop Star series by the fantastic author Kimberly Greene. This time Danni had a problem. Robert, her sneaky agent, had signed her up to go against new pop diva rival, Harley in a music battle. So what was meant to be a nice family relaxation time turned into stressing about Harley time. Then Sam discovers a big family secret, and the family travel to London together. But seeing Danni so stressed makes Sam come up with a secret plan of her own...
This novel was probably my favourite of the series. It was well written and the novel produced a new problem for Sam to 'help' with, rather than her just moaning about having TV cameras follow her all the time. This novel is funny and the main character, Sam, is witty and some of her thoughts made me laugh out loud!
My favourite character was Sam, because she kind of reminds me of, well, me when I was about...nine! She's funny and witty and if she was real, I would definitely be her friend! I give this book 5/5.
I'd probably recommend this novel for kids aged 10+, and I think a lot of children/teens can relate to Sam (except having to have TV cameras follow you everywhere, of course!)
